Weeda Hamdan · The Full Picture

One Artist. Three Expressions.
One Mission.

"I began drawing in a bunker in Lebanon at age 12. That instinct — to find beauty inside confinement, to make the invisible visible — has shaped everything since."

About Weeda

Weeda Hamdan is a Lebanese-American visual artist, NeuroArts researcher, and co-founder of Education Unbound and Tatweer Baladna. Based in McKinney, Texas, her work moves between painting, neuroscience, and humanitarian action — translating war, resilience, and nature into expressionist canvases, evidence-based research on art and healing, and STEAM education for children in Texas and Lebanon. One belief connects every project: making something visible can change what people are able to bear.

THE WHAT, WHY & HOW

Three platforms. One creative impulse, at three depths.

Each property answers a different question — and each is stitched to the next, the way Weeda joins pieces of thrifted fabric into a single canvas.

THE WHAT · SHE CREATES

Weeda.art

weeda.art

Original paintings and installations born from personal stories — war, resilience, nature, Lebanon. The emotional entry point of the ecosystem, and the place a stranger first feels something.

THE WHy · SHE EXPLAINS

NeuroArts

weeda.art/neuroarts

The science behind the art — research and writing on how creativity physically affects the nervous system: stress, trauma recovery, daily wellbeing. This is why a painting is worth more than its surface.

THE HOW · SHE GIVES BACK

Education Unbound

educationunbound.org

STEAM and art education for underserved children in Texas, and displaced children in Lebanon through the Revive Baladna project. The proof that the Why is being acted on, in real classrooms and real lives.

THE CONNECTION MODEL

The art creates resonance. The research creates credibility. The mission creates authority. Together, they're one story no single platform can tell alone.

THE BRAND IN ONE SENTENCE

"Weeda Hamdan is a Lebanese-American artist who began painting in a bunker and now puts that same act of creation in the hands of displaced children — because she has spent her life proving that making something visible can change what people are able to bear."
